New UI status

I've now got replies, conversations working.

I'm merging the new UI branch into the trunk tomorrow and then others
can continue working on the other problems.

Once the new UI is in the trunk, we should start adding new Jira items
to describe UI-related bugs.

I have only used it in Chrome on Mac on the Stax instance and it all
seems to be working.

I will take a look at the IE7 issues first.
Even though I hate saying it, it is probably the most important browser for us to support, so it just has to work.

Be cheeky, do as I do, tell'em that "ESME is too cool for MS IE" ;)

No joke for me, I simply don't bother with MS IE - no <canvas> support
and lots of other stupidities.

(OK, joking in regards ESME... ESME is probably going for a wider user
group.. old aunts, corporate droids, other kind of laggards :-D)

Getting there...

Has anybody tested the new UI with Safari or Chrome?

I tried with IE7 and the new UI is broken. Someone more knowledgeable
than myself is going to have look at the styles under IE7.

Significant progress on the UI at last.
