Searching in docs

Hello.
Since 2.31, the documentation has been presented in a different way, and it’s no longer possible to search in it. That’s quite a major and rarely seen inconvenience.
Is this going to be addressed in the near future?
Thank you.
Jan

Hi Jan,

I also have mentioned that the search field disappeared about half a year
ago. Currently I'm using Google with "site:url of the site to search for"
added to the search string.

In 2.31.0 we switched from using MarkDown and generating the docs using
GitBook/HonKit to using the AsciiDoc format and tooling. See ARTEMIS-4383
[1] for more details on that.

To my knowledge, there are no AsciiDoc extensions to enable the kind of
search that was available previously.

Everything is open source, of course, so if you find (or implement) an
extension that restores direct search functionality to the documentation
please send a PR with the relevant changes. In the meantime I recommend you
use the "site:url" method supported by most search engines that Alexander
mentioned. I expect that method would give better results than even the
original search functionality in the older docs.
