Centipede 1.0 beta 2 Released - maven included

    *********************************
           CENTIPEDE BETA 2
    *********************************

We're happy to announce the second beta of Centipede.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=36516&release_id=76696

This beta contains much more documentation, fixes coming from user feedback,
enhanced descriptors, and a target to create automatic descriptors' and
cents' documentation.

We have integrated the Maven docs generation and the Maven xref generation
using a cent, along with numerous bugfixes.
The docs are generated from the same Forrest DTD. This way users can decide
to switch in any moment, preventing lock-in.

To make the maven cent download, just uncomment the <maven/> tag in
properties.xml.

                    -oOo-

We've decided to take the initiative in integrating maven ourselves in an
effort to reach out to the maven community and to give choice to our users.

Try build.(sh|bat) mavendocs or mavensite to have documentation made with
Maven, docs or (more complete) site to use Forrest.

Forrest has also a scarab-site skin in alpha state that mimics Maven's skin
taken from tigris.org.

Advantages of using the Maven Docbuild:
1. It's fast.
2. It uses a nice style.

 Disadvantages:

1. it doesn't check if links are not broken
2. it supposed the project was on Jakarta, and keeps the Jakarta logo. We
have put the Krsalis logo for now, will be fixed in next beta.
3. a temporary project.xml is created in the project root to keep Maven
happy. If should be automatically cleaned at the end of the build.
4. Mavenb3 links seem to works only on 1 level . Maven has just changed this
in CVS, we will update it with next beta.
5. It uses _a_ style

The Maven-built version of the site is at http://www.krysalis.org/alt/

Thank you for using Centipede.
