why?
Why can't I open anything with Apache that I created with the former version of Open Office?

Hi Carole, you probably during the installation, selected Apache OpenOffice
to be the default program for all your documents.
If you want to revert this, you will need to re-associate with your
previous programs through the windows file type assignment screen.

Have you tried opening a new document and then inserting the file you're
trying to open into the new doc??

What happens when you try? How are you trying to open those files? What
