Don't know how to handle "application/pdf"
In our application I have developped a routine that converts a xml-fo file to
an pdf file. Everthing works fine until I bundle the application with all
referenced libraries into a jar-file. Starting the application from the
self-executing jar-file, gives me the error:
UnsupportedOperationException: Don't know how to handle "application/pdf"
I've read about that the renderer has to be overwritten but it doesn't work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Finally I have the solution:
I decompressed all the jar-files found in the build and lib directory and
copied as you suggested all the files found in the META-INF/services
directories to a directory I named META-INF/services. (I don't need to copy
the rest of the files as the project is already linked to all the jar
files). I moved this META-INF directory (case sensitive! - will not work i.e
on FAT32) to my output path of my IDE (./classes). I deployed my project
and everything works fine.
Thanks for your help,
infoth

I don't need to because I usually don't do things like that. I prefer
working with the original JAR files. Causes me much less trouble.
It shouldn't be difficult to copy those files together. After all, they
are just files in a ZIP file which happen to be named JAR files. But you
can look into FOP's build.xml file where you'll find code that creates
JAR files. No example that copies the META-INF/services, though.

Yes, I copid all the content to one Jar-file, but I couldn't get the
META_INF/services files into it? How do you manage it?

Do you copy all the content of several JARs together in one JAR? In that
case you must not forget to also copy all files in META-INF/services
(from all JARs) and if you have multiple files in there with the same
name, you have to merge them. Otherwise, FOP won't find any plug-ins
including the PDF renderer.
