Problem with file size for upload component

I'm getting this error when I try and upload large files using the upload
component.

org.apache.tapestry.ApplicationRuntimeException
Unable to decode request: the request was rejected because it's size
exceeds allowed range

org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadBase$SizeLimitExceededException
the request was rejected because it's size exceeds allowed range

I didn't see any way to set the maximum upload size. Is there a way to fix
this?

Cool. There's a bit of tapestry I didn't know about.

I'll patch the documentation instead.

I don't believe that is in error. You can adjust that default in your
application specification. Unless you specifically override it, there
probably should be a maximum size, correct?

<application name="Application">
         <extension name="org.apache.tapestry.multipart-decoder"
class="org.apache.tapestry.multipart.DefaultMultipartDecoder">
                 <configure property-name="maxSize" type="double"
value="134217728"/> <!-- where the value is the maximum size you want
to allow -->
         </extension>

         <page name="Home" specification-path="Home.page" />
</application>

Digging a bit deeper it appears that the problem is line 104 of
DefaultMultipartDecoder that sets the maximum to 10000000 bytes:

private int _maxSize = 10000000;

It should be -1. I'll test and send through a patch.

I think what you need is:

DefaultMultipartDecoder.getSharedInstance().setMaxSize()
