[jira] [Created] (AIRFLOW-1858) Allow connection extras to be defined with environment variables

Victor Villas Bôas Chaves created AIRFLOW-1858:
--------------------------------------------------

Summary: Allow connection extras to be defined with environment variables
                 Key: AIRFLOW-1858
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AIRFLOW-1858
             Project: Apache Airflow
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: configuration
            Reporter: Victor Villas Bôas Chaves

Defining connections with environment variables is currently documented as an alternative to storing them in the database and manipulating them in the UI or CLI.

But there's currently no way to define the `extras` if using environment variables, usually required by complex connections like AWS or Presto, so it's a feature incomplete alternative.
