[jira] Resolved: (WICKET-3332) Make quickstart home page more instructive

Martijn Dashorst resolved WICKET-3332.
--------------------------------------

       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: 1.5-RC1

The new design has been created and I've also updated the Jetty version to 7.x (the eclipse version).

The logo and stylesheet reside in main/webapp/, but I don't see that as a major blocker. Making it a SVG will ensure users with IE < 9 won't see anything, and creating a SVG of the logo is quite an undertaking with the drop shadow in the white W.

In the very least it will show folks where to put their images/stylesheet.

One small pet peeve is that the design uses a webfont from google font directory, which requires an internet connection.

> The current quickstart is pretty much bare bones. Someone already proposed to make the quickstart more in line with how Ruby on Rails projects generate their first contact. See attached proposal for a quick start startup screen. Two styles that are based on proposals for a new wicket website design.
