[jira] [Created] (NETBEANS-13) Move document shows border on the same document group without having a group

Christian Lenz created NETBEANS-13:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Move document shows border on the same document group without having a group
                 Key: NETBEANS-13
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-13
             Project: NetBeans
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: platform - Window System
    Affects Versions: 8.2
         Environment: Windows 10 (64Bit), NetBeans 8.2 Patch 2
            Reporter: Christian Lenz
         Attachments: moveDocumentBug.gif

I have opened a view tabs, I don't have a group yet. If I type CTRL + M, CTRL + D (My custom shortcut for move document), the default group got the border, but that makes no sense, because I want to move the document to an other place. For me it makes sense to move it to the left or to the right. Maybe an option in Options would be good to set the direction of a new group, because to set it to the left or to the right, without having a group is not good. Someone will have it on the left or on the right.

The other scenario is, I have moved my document to a new group. All is fine. But when I'm on the left and I call my shortcut, I expected, that NB knows, that I wanted to move it to the other group, but no, the same group is selected again. The problem is, that I have to type 3 times -> to get the right direction for the new position of my document. When I'm on the right group and type my shortcut, than it will select the other group for this. When I want to move groups and I call my shortcut for move groups (CTRL + M, CTRL + G), then it doesn't matter where I am, nb shows me the right direction for the group.

Please see my little cast for more information. First times, the wrong behaviour is via using move document. The last and correct one is move group.

Regards

Chris
