whether lenya is required in the live server where my pages go live

Hi,

I have a very important conceptual doubt in publishing in lenya

I have noticed that the files that are published are in the pubs/mypub/content/live directory

but they are all xml files. and are rendered to xml during runtime.

my doubt is that if suppose on the live server i would like to display the live published documents so

do i need to have lenya installed in the live server or not??

kindly help

cheers,

Anshuman

It depends.

If you have dynamic content, you need Lenya.

If you have only static content, you can use the StaticHTMLExporter,
the Cocoon CLI, or a wget/curl/HTTrack-like program to export your
pages to HTML.
