getting a mergerd Template as a Document?

Hi All,

I am trying to generate a PDF from a merged Template.
The PDFWriter needs a Document. So how can I get merged
template as a Document.?

Do I need to write a custom servlet to extend VelocityServlet's
doRequest() method?

Can somebody please help?
