Schema in AVSC vs AVDL

Hi,

1. Is there any difference in defining data schema in AVSC (json) or 
AVDL (IDL)?
2. What is advised format(avsc or avdl) to represent data schema in case 
of using AVDL for RPC while the data schema is supposed to be described 
in separate file? (IE I hava a AVDL with network calls and separate 
files for description of data schema that will be sen using the AVDL 
defined RPC)
