I am able to successfully replicate this bug with OpenOffice Version 4.1.5 on
Windows 10 Education

Replication Steps:
1. Create a new text document in Writer
2. Press Ctrl-U to underline the text
3. Type something random (e.g. "Hello World") and press space
4. Type in one of the Unicode characters mentioned above (e.g. U+2713)
5. Press space and type a few more words
6. Delete the words after the special character (the whitespace will remain
underlined even though the text is gone)

This bug is important to customers since it can cause frustrating formatting
issues in a document.

Thank you!
