New 1.7 release?

Hi,

I was wondering if it'd be possible to get a 1.7.8 release? 1.7.7 was 2.5
years ago and there have been a few fixes back ported that we'd like to use.

Hi Ben,
I am not sure how many other people are interested in a 1.7.8 release.
However, I have created a jira for the same :
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AVRO-1998
If people who want the release can comment on that, it would help in
finding the need for the same.

If there is a big enough request, I will try to find a way to get a release.
