[jira] [Created] (PIG-2736) Support implicit cast from bytearray to
boolean
Jie Li created PIG-2736:
---------------------------
Summary: Support implicit cast from bytearray to boolean
Key: PIG-2736
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PIG-2736
Project: Pig
Issue Type: Sub-task
Reporter: Jie Li
{code}
a = load 'allscalar10k' as (name, age, gpa, instate);
b = filter a by instate==TRUE;
dump b;
{code}
Error:In alias b, incompatible types in Equal Operator left hand side:bytearray right hand side:boolean
Currently we only support implicit conversion from bytearray to chararray and number types (int,long,float,double). We need to add support for boolean as well.
