web site

FYI

We have our initial web site up. Feedback is welcome. Will add more
once we have a release, which we are working towards.

I think I am talking more about the externals. The main thing I would
like to see is a nice diagram about the overall architecture. I know
that Accumulo is built using Apache Hadoop, Zookeeper, and Thrift, but
I'm not sure how they fit together.

So I assume you mean a technical overview of the internals? The
manual covers the externals.

We will probably do that when we release 1.4 We are not adding new
features to 1.4, we are still testing 1.4. We were in the middle of
testing 1.4 when we started working on becoming an apache project, so
we were sidetracked.

Excellent start!

Personally, I'd like to see a nice technical overview page somewhere
(that's not in the manual itself). Also I think putting the Manual
v1.4 link above the Manual v1.3 link would make more sense, unless
v1.4 is "beta" or something.

Hi Keith,

Cell labels, native in-memory map, pluggable behaviors, PKI and aggregating
iterators (feature vectors) just to mention few :)

Any suggestions on what features you would like to see mentioned on
the main page?

Hi Keith,

It looks pretty neat! Maybe just adding some of the notable features (not
just the link) that make Accumulo different would be nice to have in the
home page.
