[jira] Commented: (GERONIMO-3651) gshell should make it dead simple to run geronimo with remote debugging

Jason Dillon commented on GERONIMO-3651:

Any suggestions on how it should work? I'm thinking that something similar to the rc.d/* scripts can be used for this. So that there is a debug Groovy config which can tweak the params, and users can change it easily by updating the script. Might work kinda like a Mvn profile, where the launcher takes some command-line flags one could be for profiles, and then it will load the scripts for that profile if they exist.

But please tell me what would be ideal for you, so I can balance out my own ideas with some reality... :-)

> we need some options for start-server so g. starts up with debugging. I think we should be able to set the port and suspend as persistent options in the environment.
