RE: [m2] CVSNT problem

Hi,

Is it possible to manipulate variables to create other ones?

For example,

For the release:prepare goal I would like my tag to be based on the
current version.

So, if my current version is:

1.6-SNAPSHOT

I would like the release tag to be

rel_1_6

(CVS doesn't like '.' in tag names)

I thought doing some Java code in the plugin section might do the trick:

     <plugin>
        <artifactId>maven-release-plugin</artifactId>
        <configuration>
          <tag>rel_${version.replace("-SNAPSHOT","").replaceAll("\.",
"_")</tag>
        </configuration>
      </plugin>

Alas, this doesn't work. Any ideas?
