it could just be that the backbone for that area has other major fiber
users that take up that same bandwidth. if you can get to that location
and run some sort of speed upload/download test to see what your
_acctual_ speeds are then you can see if its really apache, or if the
machine is simply ailing from a bandwidth crunch.

Also, many fiber connections are made for INSANE amounts of download
space (inward TO the machine) but not alot of upload space (out FROM the
machine)

A simple way to show your upload/download speeds is to dowload something
using BitTorrent (take a peek at jamedo.com to get some free legit music)

Yes I run that server. Web server is on fiber connection, and me and
other users test connection from internet (adsl).

let me get this straight

a) do you run the server that you are having the problems with

b) is this server on another side of the net? or is your computer on the
SAME net?

I'd like to use full bandwidth for access to files on server.
But it seems that video streaming and download from server (using
http://) is slow and speed goes up and down.
Sometimes when i download some files from internet I can see that I
reach my max bandwidth at home, and the bandwidth speed is fixed(max
download speed).
Is it possible to conf apache (or maybe some kind of proxy) so I can
give users max upload speed?

Regards,
Hans
