Not sure what you mean to run site:generate on everything.

I want to process entire source tree in layers. In each layer either I want
to generate normal site or multiproject site
and I want to have one point where it all gets aggregated.
This recursion can go even deeper.

So my sestup looks like follows:

   root
     project.xml  (multiproject:site, includes = subproject*/project.xml) <-
that's my starting point (maven multiproject:site builds all websites)
     subproject1  (site:generate)
     subproject2  (site:generate)
     subproject3
         project.xml (multiproject:site, includes =
sub-subproject*/project.xml) <- this project runs nested reactor
         sub-subproject1 (site:generate invoked by nested reactor)
         sub-subproject2 (site:generate  -||-)
         sub-subproject3 (site:generate -||- )

in the first pass reactor process subproject1, subproject2, subproject3

when subproject3 is being processed DFS algorithm steps down and recursively
process all subprojects of subproject3 and aggreagtes sites.
This information will be later pushed up to top level project

Did I miss something - or is it possible with current versions site,
multiproject plugins?

NP. I can roll something temporary for myself
