iBATIS & JPetStore

Is there anywhere a step-by-step instruction manual to setup JPetStore
e.g. with JBoss/Tomcat/...?

Regards,
Sven

Well, I suppose in my smartass reply I didn't specify that there is a WAR
file included in the build directory.

I just dropped the included WAR file into the Tomcat webapps directory and
it worked fine....I was using Tomcat 4.1 though...

I'll try 5 later, but it should work fine.

Cheers,
Clinton

PS: No DB setup is required, unless you want to use a database other than
HSQLDB.

Any advice on Tomcat versions... I tried the JPetStore compiled version
found on ibatis.apache.org and it doesn't seem to like Tomcat 5..5.15 a
lot (or the other way around). After I "enter the shop" I get taglib
failures but no petstore ;-)

Although I'd argue that a better plan would be:

1) Unzip into ecplise workspace directory

2) Start tomcat (with sysdeo plugin in eclipse)

3) navigate through the app, using the logs for some useful information, but also stepping
through pieces of code... use the power of eclipse's ctrl-click type navigation to quickly
learn how to use iBatis.

with JPetStore 5, the steps are....

1) Unzip to Tomcat webapps folder.

2) Start Tomcat.

3) Oh...that was it. ;-)
