rewriting urls for better search engine indexing

Hello,
is there any possibility for rewriting urls like this way :

http://www.mydomain/site.do?param1=value1&param2=value2

to something like this :

http://www.mydomain/site_param1-value1.param2-value2.htm

?

I would like to change the urls, because search engines may ignore
dynamic websites.

I am able to do some recoding with mod_rewrite,
but the links on my site have to be recoded, too.

Did anyone something like that ?
What way would you prefer ?
