On the Usage page, the Note comment in the beginning wrt the Jarsigner plugin could/should be improved. The text currently also says "As of the current version 2.5" which is clearly wrong.
I suggest changing the text to the following:
"Note: Originally, this plugin was meant to sign JARs as well but that support has now been removed. Users are advised to use the dedicated Maven Jarsigner Plugin instead."
