If I'm understanding the situation correctly, you're talking about an error
document on an HTTP server which is proxying through to a Tomcat server? Is
this still a problem? (Yes, I know, no response for 4 years. Sorry.)

I wouldn't expect session variables to be something that the HTTP server would
even have access to, in this context. Can you confirm that this is still
happening in a recent version of the server, and that my understanding of the
situation is correct.
