> Key: SPARK-56967
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-56967
> Project: Spark
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Spark Core
> Affects Versions: 4.0.0
> Reporter: Raghav Gaur
> Priority: Major
>
> {{+*EventLogFileWriter.requireLogBaseDirAsDirectory()*+}} +**+ calls {{getFileStatus}} directly, which throws {{FileNotFoundException}} if the directory doesn't exist. The fix adds an existence check and auto-creates the directory before proceeding.
