  リング内のルーティング性能はキーのサイズに対してO(N)のオーダーであり、更新はO(N log N）です。一般的にはこれらの影響は他の要素に比べて無視できる範囲ですが、非常に大きい「生の」キーを扱う事例では代わりにそれらのハッシュ値をキーとして使用しているユーザもいます。
