Hello,

This is a status update,

With the help of Andrea, I have imported Kazakh translation to AOO 4.0.
I have void all previous Kazakh translations, and made a new, clean
import from LibreOffice 4.2.

This is a first, draft import of 100% matched strings, and Kazakh l10n
is at 65% now.
LO 4.2 is at 84% currently. I have to polish comparison rules to find
more matches,
or use msgmerge and co. utilities. This is all in my TODO list. But
first I have to finish LO 4.2.

BTW, what percentage level a language should have to get a test builds?

Thank you very much, Andrea, for your help,

Best regards,

Hello,

I have opened a bugreport to import Kazakh translation from Pootle a while ago
(https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124118)

Could someone please tell me whether it is already imported?
I would like to do a little test before the release,

Thanks

Hello,

Since the deadline was extended, I have uploaded latest translations from
LibreOffice 4.2 to AOO for Kazakh language.

For LO Kazakh language has 100% for UI. Importing it to AOO gives
78% direct and 3% fuzzy translations.

I just downloaded file
Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_kk.exe_1556251.exe
from http://ci.apache.org/projects/openoffice/install/winsnap/
and going to test it now. When updated translations from Pootle will
be pulled into test builds?

Thanks for your help!

no only an experimental one (genLang), for production we still use the sdf
files.

the pocheck utility (at least the one I have installed) do not do the
checks you need.

You need a utility that compares:
- keyid
- en-US text (orignal text)

And notifies you about missing matches. I have the same problem, when we
update translations, so I added a -m (merge) option to genLang
(branch/l10n40), but as I said its not in procution.

Hello,

Do you have a tool to validate PO files for compatibility with OpenOffice?

For example, LibreOffice has pocheck utility (though I never used it).

OK, thank you for trying this experiment in contributing your work to
two projects! It is not bad that you managed to get 65% starting from an
84% translated, which means that 75% of the strings you had are
identical and could be imported with minimal effort.

> BTW, what percentage level a language should have to get a test builds?

It's enough to have an explicit request, ongoing activity and a bit of
patience. I'm CCing Herbert so that he can add "kk" to our buildbot. But
your changes will show up only when someone (usually Juergen) copies
your Pootle work into the source code. See
http://markmail.org/message/tx46i4r7v2qlgtm7 for more.
