[jira] Created: (AXIS2-290) Change bundled STAX implementation

Change bundled STAX implementation
----------------------------------

         Key: AXIS2-290
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS2-290
     Project: Apache Axis 2.0 (Axis2)
        Type: Bug
  Components: samples, build,site & docs
    Versions: 0.92
    Reporter: Hannes Erven

The STAX parser that comes bundled with 0.92 is buggy: it drops characters right in front of a closing element.

The bug is described here: http://www.dynamicobjects.com/d2r/archives/002862.html and exists since July 2004; as the StaX site is unreachable, it cannot be determined wheter it has been fixed in the meantime.

All problems go away when the bundled stax-1.1.2-dev.jar is replaced by some other STAX parser, eg. Woodstox from here: http://woodstox.codehaus.org/
