[jira] [Created] (DIRSTUDIO-844) Installer asks for JRE, but
assumes it points to JDK
Eljas Alakulppi created DIRSTUDIO-844:
-----------------------------------------
Summary: Installer asks for JRE, but assumes it points to JDK
Key: DIRSTUDIO-844
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSTUDIO-844
Project: Directory Studio
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.0.0-M3
Environment: Windows
Reporter: Eljas Alakulppi
Priority: Minor
Installer asks for JRE path and stores it to "Apache Directory Studio.ini". If this path points to JRE and not JDK, following error is displayed when launching "Apache Directory Studio.exe":
Failed to load the JNI shared library "JREPATHHERE\bin\..\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll"
(JREPATHHERE being the path set in Apache Directory Studio.ini as paramter for -vm)
Should be easy fix by removing "\jre" from that path (or alternatively asking JDK path if something is actually required from there).

Resolution: Invalid
Pardon, this was actually a problem on the path which I had assigned.
