Document peeking into spool and spam folders
Summary: Document peeking into spool and spam folders
Product: James
Version: 2.1
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Documentation
AssignedTo: server-dev@james.apache.org
ReportedBy: junk@bbs.darktech.org
Hi,
Here are a few issues I have ran into. I would like you to please document
solutions:
- Sometimes James takes forever to move files from /var/mail/spool into its
destination folders. Is the worker thread configurable somewhere? I want all
mail to be spooled within 30 seconds (especially seeing how my machine is idle
most of the time). Where is this configured?
- I have a large collection of files in /var/mail/spam and I would like to peek
into them. Short of using a hex viewer, is there a good way to either view these
files or tell James to forward them to the original destination address but with
some prefix tellign the user the following message has been flagged as SPAM?
Thank you.
