   @arina-ielchiieva, excellent point; a reusable framework is more useful if some explanation exists for use. There are two sources, both preliminary. First, there are comments in the code: `package-info.java` files and Javadoc. Second, there is an early draft of a guide on [this wiki](https://github.com/paul-rogers/drill/wiki/Create-a-Storage-Plugin). At present, the pages describe starting from scratch, but that got so complex that I ended up creating this framework instead. The pages need to be updated based on this framework. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
   
   It might make sense for me to update the wiki before the review; that way you can provide feedback on both the code and documentation. I'll tackle that over the next few days.
