[DISCUSS] Proposal: Improve branding and user experience of Polaris' website
Hi everyone,
Since the Polaris site was first stood up, there have been many new
user-facing features and improvements. Documentation has also improved. In
an attempt to better reflect the quality of the Polaris project and
community, attract more community members, and uphold the quality of user
experience of other Apache projects, I'd like to propose updates to
Polaris' website.
This Pull Request <https://github.com/apache/polaris/pull/2794> is to serve
as a starting point to gather feedback and form consensus as the website is
a reflection of the entire community. The updates in this PR are primarily
aesthetic, and hopefully do not create additional overhead for
additions/updates to documentation, pages, or the release process now or in
the future.
You can build the proposed updated static site locally just as you can
today here: https://github.com/apache/polaris/blob/main/site/README.md
