Stock Portfolio portlet slowing down page

Is there away to to configure the timeout period for the stock portfolio 
portlet? It seems that the web service
"http://www.bluesunrise.com/webservices/container/BlueSunriseFinance/BlueSunriseFinanceService/BlueSunriseFinancePort/"
is down. Currently it seems that the portal tries to load the stock 
portfolio portlet forever, like there is no timeout.
