[jira] [Commented] (DIRSTUDIO-957) Cannot stop server from Studio:
Terminate failed
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSTUDIO-957?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13814277#comment-13814277 ]
Stefan Seelmann commented on DIRSTUDIO-957:
-------------------------------------------
I wasn't able to reproduce this on Arch Linux (Kernal 3.6) with the Java version you used (1.7.0_45-b18). I was able to start and stop the server multiple times, without the error in step 5. Does the error happen always to you, or only sporadically?

> Affects Versions: 2.0.0-M8 (2.0.0.v20130628)

>
> To reproduce:
> 1. start the Studio
> 2. choose LDAP Servers tab, click 'add sever' button, choose 'ApacheDS 2.0.0'
> 3. start the server using the green 'start' button
> 4. stop the server using the red 'stop' button
> 5. a message appears:
> Unable to stop server 'schematest'
> - Terminate failed

> at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:54)
> Terminate failed
> 6. start the server again
> 7. try to connect to it - error appears: 'Cannot connect on the server: Connection refused'
> You won't be able to start this server until you restart the Studio. It's quite a waste of time, because the Studio start takes really long.
