   Once again, many thanks for sharing your findings with me and that was the issue indeed.
   I have copied the missing values from the Entitlements-Debug.plist into Entitlements-Release.plist and was able to validate my app successfully. Now, I can finally once again submit my app for review.
   
   Not sure what the cordova-ios team wants to do about it; so I will leave up to them to maintain this issue open or close it as this previously did not happen on XCode 9.
