$ in incoming data

Hi,

 

I appear to be suffering a problem in that some of the data I am
accessing via a variable contains a $.

 

So I with the following code

 

public $Method.Return $Method.getName()

 

usually outputs correctly but where the Method.getName() data actually
contains something like getRESULTS_TABLE$Status

then the output fails.

 

Is there anyway to rectify this behaviour ?
