**Problem Statement**
Currently, when creating dashboards using pivot tables in Superset, the order of columns is fixed — unpivoted (group-by) columns always appear first, followed by pivoted metric columns. In some reporting use cases, clients require a custom order, such as placing some unpivoted columns at the end of the report for readability or compliance reasons.

Since this column ordering is handled internally by Superset’s pivot rendering, there’s no supported way to rearrange the column sequence without restructuring the SQL query manually (i.e., pivoting in SQL instead of using the built-in pivot).

**Proposed Solution**
1. Introduce a feature (either in the Explore UI or as a chart property) that allows users to:

2. Reorder pivoted and unpivoted columns in dashboards.

3. Optionally “pin” certain group-by (unpivoted) fields to either the beginning or the end of the resulting table.


This would make it easier to meet client formatting requirements without needing backend SQL changes or custom hacks.

**Benefits**

1. Greater flexibility for enterprise reporting.

2. Reduces the need for complex SQL pivot workarounds.

3. Keeps Superset’s pivot table visualization dynamic while offering improved control over output layout.
