Arrays not allowed for script input-symbol?

Are arrays allowed for script input-symbol? If yes, can someone tell me 
know what the syntax is for specifying this?

I want to be able to do something like the following...

<input-symbol key="childModel"
    class="com.agilix.tapestry.components.IVarPropertySelectionModel[]"
    required="yes"/>
