le dictionnaire de la version française refuse le verbe "asseoir" et le
remplace par "assoir" qui n'est pas correct.
The french dictionnary does not accept the verb "asseoir" wich is correct and
proposes the word "assoir" wich is not correct.

I entered "asseoir" and the dictionary didn't mark it as misspelled.
I'm using version 5.1 of this dictionary extension
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/french-dictionaries
Please note that bug reports must be in English.
Also note that dictionaries are not developed by OpenOffice, they are extension
maintained by third parties. If you find a bug in a dictionary, try to find the
original maintainer (dictionary extensions are listed in Tools - Extension
Manager...) and report the bug to him.
