[jira] [Created] (SLING-2400) Resource URI hint should be checked
before it is used
Resource URI hint should be checked before it is used
-----------------------------------------------------
Key: SLING-2400
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SLING-2400
Project: Sling
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Installer
Affects Versions: Installer Core 3.3.2, Installer Core 3.3.4
Reporter: Carsten Ziegeler
Assignee: Carsten Ziegeler
Fix For: Installer Core 3.3.6
A provider can add a resource uri hint to a resource. This allows the installer to directly access the resource without copying it first.
However, when Sling is used within a webapp the uris returned by the application server might not be resolvable. In addition, in general its a good idea to check the hint first.
If the uri can't be used, the input stream should be used to copy the artifact.
