[jira] [Commented] (KAFKA-10467) kafka-topic --describe fails for topic created by "produce"

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-10467?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17192037#comment-17192037 ]

Luke Chen commented on KAFKA-10467:
-----------------------------------

[~swayamraina] , your feed the wrong parameter into send method. The send needs *ProducerRecord* to send. Please check: [https://kafka.apache.org/26/javadoc/org/apache/kafka/clients/producer/KafkaProducer.html#send-org.apache.kafka.clients.producer.ProducerRecord-]

So, the correct way should be:
{code:java}
producer.send(new ProducerRecord<>("topic", "key", "value"));
{code}

> kafka-topic --describe fails for topic created by "produce"
