[jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-7631) Log rotate on VR may fail as /etc/init.d/rsyslog does not anymore support reload option on debian wheezy

Saksham Srivastava created CLOUDSTACK-7631:
----------------------------------------------

             Summary: Log rotate on VR may fail as /etc/init.d/rsyslog does not anymore support reload option on debian wheezy
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-7631
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-7631
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
            Reporter: Saksham Srivastava
            Assignee: Saksham Srivastava

As shown below we get the following message when doing logrotate on VR:
#logrotate -v /etc/logrotate.conf
rotating pattern: /var/log/syslog
running postrotate script
Usage: /etc/init.d/rsyslog
{start|stop|rotate|restart|force-reload|status}

invoke-rc.d: initscript rsyslog, action "reload" failed.
error: error running non-shared postrotate script for /var/log/syslog of '/var/log/syslog
