Cookie Manager doesn't set/send cookies as supposed to

After setting the name, value, domain and path I run my test but the view 
results tree for the http request shows Cookie Data:null.  I tried to setup 
the cookie using the HTTP Header Manager with the following values: Name:Set-
Cookie Value: mail=roberto@yahoo.com but I got the same results.
