[jira] Created: (INFRA-1021) Receiving spam score exceeded threshold trying to join adffaces-user mailing list

Receiving spam score exceeded threshold trying to join adffaces-user mailing list
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: INFRA-1021
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1021
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: Mailing Lists
         Environment: WinXP SP3
            Reporter: Shawn Bertrand
            Priority: Minor

Sent an email from my work account (Shawn dot Bertrand at tycoelectronics dot com), and received this:

-------------
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:
      Sent:	11/2/2006 4:18 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

adffaces-user-subscribe at incubator dot apache dot org on 11/2/2006 4:18 PM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.
            <usy90mx00 dot tycoelectronics dot net #5.5.0 smtp;552 spam score (7.7) exceeded threshold>
-------------

Tried sending an email from my home account (sjscabert at gmail dot com) as well and received the same error. Also tried sending email to adffaces-user-subscribe-Shawn dot Bertrand=tyco dot electronics at incubator dot apache org, but received error on my work account similar to above.

Strange thing is, someone else under the same tycoelectronics dot com domain was able to subscribe.

Joe Schaefer commented on INFRA-1021:
-------------------------------------

Be sure to include a Subject header, and don't send your email as html.
That should bring you under the threshold.
