configuring iplanet to work with cocoon

I have iplanet webserver, and istalled cocoon-1.8. I followed the instructions to 
configure my server to recognize cocoon. But i am not able to open the cocoon page 
ie cocoon.xml. Can any body advise how to go thro with this please. Or how to call 
the cocoon.xml page??.

Do i need to physically transfer the jar files?? if so to where?? Please suggest. I cant 
find much things about cocoon any where.
