Hadoop 3.1.2 release timing

Hello,

I'm planning to upgrade to 3.1.x shortly, and I was eyeing a few JIRAs that
are targeted for 3.1.2. Looking across MR, YARN and common:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/HADOOP/versions/12343796
https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/MAPREDUCE/versions/12344043
https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/YARN/versions/12343433

It seems like there are no major blockers. Was there a plan to release
another 3.1.x version soon or should I just build off of branch-3.1 for now?

Best,
Jon

Hey Wangda,

Appreciate your getting back to me. Everything I need is in branch-3.1 now
but didn't make it into 3.1.1. I may wait for 3.1.2 to get to rc stage at
least before rolling it out. 3.2.0 is also an option but I'd guess that
will be a little while longer to release.

Cheers,
Jon

Hi Jonathan,

Sorry for my late response, I'm currently starting the discussion for 3.1.2
release, I want to get it done by Nov. If you want to upgrade to 3.1.x
shortly. Please go with 3.1.1 and then upgrade to 3.1.2 given it has
chances that release will be delayed of random issues and blockers.

Thanks,
Wangda

go off 3.1.1; current ongoing work is for a 3.2.0 RC to come out in a few days...if you want to help with testing that, it'd be really good.
