After the [discussion at dev@spark|http://apache-spark-developers-list.1001551.n3.nabble.com/scala-annotation-varargs-or-root-scala-annotation-varargs-td18898.html] it appears there's a consensus to review the use of {{@scala.annotation.varargs}} throughout the codebase and use one variant and use it consistently.
