[Issue 128305] New: DLL error with no trp file starting OO
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128305
Issue ID: 128305
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: DLL error with no trp file starting OO
Product: General
Version: 4.1.7
Hardware: PC
OS: OS/2
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Blocker
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: ui
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: smetz3@gmu.edu
Target Milestone: ---
I get an error popup running OO on ArcaOS 5.0.4; I tried installing AOO4.1.7,
but it still fails, with no *.trp file in
Q:\PROGRAMS\APACHEOPENOFFICE.4\PROGRAM. I see two immediate problems in the
error text below:
1. The install directory is Q:\PROGRAMS\APACHEOPENOFFICE.4,
not Q:/PROGRAMS/APACHE/OPENOFFICE.4/
2. The deploy.dll file is in the program subdirectory,
not in the main install directory.
The error text is
OpenOffice 4.1.7 - Fatal Error
The application cannot be started.
exception occurred raising singleton.
"/singletons/com.sun.star.deployment.ExtensionManager":loading
component library failed:
file:///Q:/PROGRAMS/APACHE/OPENOFFICE.4/PROGRAM/../DEPLOY.DLL
Note: How do I set the ticket to block issue 126518?

--- Comment #2 from Shmuel (Seymour J.) Metz <sm...@gmu.edu> ---
Adding libxslt did the trick. Should I open a ticket with Arca Noae, or is that
already in their pipeline?
For future reference, how do I set the ticket to block issue 126518, as
requested in the readme?
Thanks.

--- Comment #4 from Shmuel (Seymour J.) Metz <sm...@gmu.edu> ---
I'd consider it to be an Arca Noae bug because the ArcaOS 5.0.4 installer insts
OpenOffice without installing libxslt. That's not the same thing as the user
installing OO after ArcaOS.

Great!
I don't think this can be considered as a bug for Arca Noae.
The package is clearly mentioned in the Readme as System Requirement by
Bitwise.
For setting a ticket to block another use the field "Blocks:" in the upper area
and enter the issue number.

Did you install all packages mentioned in the Readme (located in the DropBox
folder you downloaded your WPIs from)?
Most likely you are missing libxslt.
Install it using Arca Noae Package Manager (ANPM).
Please report back if this works for you.
Thanks!
