[DBCP] Question to validationQuery

Assumed that any of the parameters testOnBorrow, testOnReturn, 
testWhileIdle is set to true and no validationQuery is assigned (= null) 
I'm wondering if a validation check of the connections will be executed 
at all? 

Any answer will be appreciated
