Either a F2 menu item, that opens a half screen shell in the bottom, where you can do advanced CLI commands and bash as well. 

Should be possible to take that full screen and back to bottom, and exit.

 

The same kind of style can then also be used for hosting an AI prompt, so you have all in the same screen.
